Our Vision:

Through our work we look to better our community providing a space for expression and understanding between the several communities in the most ethically diverse and cultural city of the World - New York which enriches the quality of life of its citizens. We hope to soon expand to the many other cities that crave the same type of unity that we are fostering today in NYC.

Our Goals

*Through our work we look to make a difference in our society by providing a space for interaction and understanding for the immigrants, with values and traditions of the United States of America,  promoting discussions and forums that fosters inclusion in the community. 

* Revitalize the harmonic relationship of the communities, giving special value to its different cultures, promoting and expanding the active participation of everyone, as well as the institution of popular exhibitions, and educational programs.

Nowadays, many people in New York City have a consciousness of the diversity and the well being of its citizens. In New York more than 160 idioms are spoken by its citizens, with multiple religious backgrounds, clothing, food and different ways of living.  This can be very enriching to the society due to the exposure of its citizens to the multitude of cultures. These facts add to the frantic pace of the city and its socio-economic situation, the impact of which just can’t be ignored.   That is why L.A.I.A. decided to take action and promote understanding as well as bringing about consciousness and the interrelation between the different cultures.  We at LAIA believe that this is very important for the individual growth of the person as an individual, as part of a family and as a member of the community.
